My Story

Personalized. Comprehensive. Fun.

My journey as a ballroom dance instructor began in 2009 and, in addition to teaching students the art of ballroom dance, my path evolved, and I began competing as a professional ballroom dancer in 2013. As a result of dancing competitively- both professionally and with my students- I was able to develop a teaching style that combines the technical knowledge necessary to create a greater awareness of the dance itself, as well as bring fun and fresh ideas to my lessons. My approach focuses on being patient, adaptable, and professional with my students, while at the same time fostering a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for every person who walks through my studio doors. Regardless of where you're starting from, I believe that every dancer has unlimited potential. With my customizable approach, I hope to ignite a passion for ballroom dance and see my students realize their goals on the floor.

Making Learning More Enjoyable

Success in learning frequently depends on finding the right Ballroom Dance Instructor; someone who knows the subject well and understands how to inspire others. My teaching style focuses on skills training but also emphasizes self-exploration and discovering a passion for something new, as well as having fun. Social Outlet

Are you looking for something fun to do, have a date night with your special someone, or look to meet new people? Ballroom By Jay offers opportunities for all occasions!

We have private lessons that are offered to everyone so we can focus on you and help you achieve what it is you’re looking for, whether it’s something fun to do, work on your exercise goals, or find like-minded people.

There are Group Classes on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm. Bring your friends and let's have some fun dancing!

To increase the amount of fun that happens at Ballroom By Jay, there are social dances that happen once a month. You'll find us having fun, dancing up a storm from 7pm-9pm on a Friday night. Keep your eye on social media to know which Friday of the month we're dancing on!

Group Classes

A wonderful way to meet other dancers in the community while learning the art of Ballroom Dancing. Ballroom by Jay picks 1 dance per month for the Beginners classes on Wednesday nights at 6pm as well as the Intermediate/ Advanced Level classes that happen on Thursdays at 6pm. Wedding Preparation

Are you looking to have that perfect dance for the Big Wedding Day? We are able to make a dance that will WOW your family and friends! You bring in the song that you’d like to dance to, and we create your DREAM dance! Reach out to us to get more details.

Competition

For those who love dancing so much that they want to push their dancing skills further, Ballroom By Jay offers opportunities to take your dancing Regionally or Nationally to perform against other like-minded people in the pursuit of more knowledge and challenges! Cancellation Policy

At Ballroom By Jay, we have a Cancellation Policy that requires at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling a lesson. In the event of a late cancellation, the instructor reserves the right to charge the full lesson fee.
